Fraser
Eagle to take snooker fans to Malta
Cup
Fraser Eagle will help take snooker
fans to one of the game’s most
exciting tournaments after becoming
a key sponsor of the sport’s Malta
Cup.
Fraser Eagle is sponsoring the event
along with its Malta-based destination
management company Allevents by Fraser
Eagle, launched in October.
As part of the sponsorship, Allevents
will package a range of excursions to
the tournament for snooker fans throughout
Europe.
The Malta Cup has become an increasingly
popular and entertaining tournament
on the world snooker calendar and features
many of the games top players, including
the world top 16. Last year’s
tournament was won by Shaun Murphy and
was also notable for former world champion
Stephen Hendry’s 700th career
century break.
“Over the past few years Malta
has established itself as a popular
snooker venue, both with top professional
players and also with overseas snooker
enthusiasts,” says Kevin Dean,
Fraser Eagle’s group managing
director.
“We look forward to our introduction
to the sponsorship pool of The Malta
Cup and hope this will be the beginning
of a successful relationship which will
further strengthen our association with
Malta and the event itself.”
The tournament will be played between
February 4 and 10 2008 at the Hilton
Conference Centre. Allevents will be
marketing 4-day and 8-day packages,
including tournament entrance tickets
in 5-star, 4-star and 3-star hotels,
through its website www.alleventsmalta.com
from December 1.
Popular television sports network Eurosport
will be broadcasting the event on a
live and recorded basis, extending the
tournament’s reach to over 95
countries and 255 million households. |
